Buddhism

Read this on OkCupid today and got super pissed off:

“Perhaps this makes me sound biggoted, but I think Buddhism is far to focused on one’s own spiritual development, compared to Christianity’s focus on your fellow man. This seems contradictory because Buddhism is about the destruction of the self. On top of this I think that a practicing Buddist would not be living a lifestyle compatible with my own. Honestly I don’t think you can be a Buddhist and do things like have sex and live in the moment. A Buddhist certainly can’t enjoy the world since to him the world is desire and desire is pain. I think the world is wonderful, it’s a gift. When it comes down to the essential points of the matter I think Buddhist philosophy is the very farthest you can get from my own and still be a “mainstream” religion.”
